Seattle
Here are some pictures from our trip to Seattle a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun!
Me and Camille on the Underground Tour of Seattle. Many of the buildings downtown used to be a story lower, and would flood every day with the tides. A fire in the late 1800s caused the city to rebuild on top of the old buildings.
On the ferry to Bremerton.
View from the Space Needle of downtown at night.
The leaves were changing and it was gorgeous!
On top of the Space Needle at night.
One of the fish stands at Pike Place.
Produce at Pike Place.

pumpkin patch
We went to a pumpkin patch on Saturday, Eliza was so excited she didn't take a nap. It was pretty cold outside of town.

Nursery So Far
The dogs showing off the nursery furniture we have so far. Recognize the dresser from my bedroom? David's mom made the quilt. Yup...getting bigger.

Minnesota Sports
Here are some pictures from the Minnesota sports games we've been able to catch out here in Southern California. Our first weekend we went up to LA to watch the Gophers at USC and the Twins at Anaheim. Our friends from Minneapolis (Aaron and Jessica Iverson) flew out and we had a really good time!
Inside the Coliseum to watch the game. We started the day EARLY (left SD at 5am!) to get up to LA and tailgate our breakfast before the game.
The Coliseum is huge!!
The other half of our Minnesota group. Abe and Lindsey Prescher are our friends in San Diego. Abe is from Kasson, but his wife is a Navy doctor so they live about a mile from us now. His dad flew out, and his friend Mike from Kasson was also there.
The Coliseum was used for the Olympics in LA in 1932 and 1984. They lit the Olympic torch during the last quarter of the football game.

As luck would have it, the Vikings ALSO played in SoCal this year. Our friends Jaden and Leah are from Southeast Minnesota (Jaden's in the Navy), and so on September 11th we went to the Vikings game in SD. As you can see, I am outnumbered here in my Chargers shirt. But the Chargers won :)
They had a bunch of sailors and marines bring the flag out on the field before the game. There was also an Osprey flyover. There were 4 Ospreys that flew over during the first quarter. Google what an Osprey looks like, they're really cool!

Gates' Visit
Lynn, Ashley, and Brian came over and brought a ton of Brian's old clothes. Brian warmed up to David pretty quickly.

Final Post from Korea
The Royal Court parading down the Incheon International Airport concorse...
Free traditional arts and crafts while you wait for your flight. Please admire my handiwork.
Even in Seoul, South Korea, I cannot escape flipping Iowa Hawkeye fans.
My two KATUSAs (Korean Augmentee to United States Army); Cpl Lee and PFC Yeo. These two kids were students at Yonsei University (a sister school to St. Olaf) and were drafted into the Korean army. Because of their English abilities, they were assigned to the US Army to serve as liaisons and translators.
Final day at ROK Armed Forces Medical Command. L to R: Operations Colonel, LCDR Henderson, LT Shiek, Major General Nam (ROK Surgeon General), Major Braxton, and ROK Chief of Staff Colonel Taeho.
In three hours, my Korean adventure comes to a close as I will be boarding my flight for home!
