Our neighbors put this little rocker on the curb, so we snagged it and cleaned it up for Felli!

Governor Dodge State Park

We met some friends for the day that were camping last weekend at Governor Dodge State Park in Wisconsin.  Very nice park!  We went geocaching, which also meant lots of hiking.

One of our friends had a head lamp.  Calvin loved wearing it and making shadows!  **Birthday/Christmas idea  :)**

 The first geocache found by the crew was on a huge cliff.  You can barely see them in this picture.

We stayed back and played on the swings instead.

 Our last stop of the day involved quite a bit of hiking.  Calvin was a trooper!

Lately

Climbing the stairs is her new favorite activity

 We went to an apple orchard between DeKalb and Naperville.  We got to pick some Honeycrisp!

The training wheels are history!

 Eliza is IN LOVE with biking now that she doesn't use training wheels.

We had some whopper burpless cucumbers, this one is 16.5 inches.

Kyle's challenge of the summer was growing watermelon...and here it is!  (the pic is blurry from a fingerprint on the lens)

Vegetable Stand

Eliza had a vegetable stand today when we had a little garage sale.  Our neighbor across the road had a sale and advertised in the newspaper, so we mooched off her traffic.  Eliza drew and colored vegetables on her sign.  She sold green beans, cucumbers, zucchini and cherry tomatoes.  The green beans went right away, and as you can see, by the time I took this picture she didn't have much left.  She spent the whole day outside with me without any complaining!  It was fun, I think it may be the beginning of a college fund/summer project for them!  Here they are doing "cheers" with apple cider.
