Salzburg, Austria

After we left Vienna, we went to Salzburg for one night.  Of course, we took the train!
One of the main attractions is Salzburg is the Sound of Music Tour- where you take a bus and visit all of the sights from the movie.  It is fun, cheesy, and very entertaining.  This is the house where they shot the scenes that take place behind the house and the lake scenes.
The gazebo from 16 going on 17.
The beautiful lakes district outside of Salzburg- Salzkammergut.  We went here as part of the Sound of Music tour.

How nice of the von Trapp family singers to join us on our tour....
 Salzburg
Mozart's birth house, with a Mozart ball (chocolate truffle)- only available in Salzburg

Our favorite beer garden of the trip.  It was founded by Augustiner monks 500 years ago and the beer was delicious.  You picked out a mug from the shelf, washed it yourself, and they filled it with beer from a real, wooden barrel.  They had a beautiful outdoor garden where you could enjoy your drinks and a picnic.
